Hey there, I’m David Pollock… musical collaborator, co-conspirator, and dude who can help bring your recordings to life if you’re not determined to do absolutely everything yourself.
I understand how challenging it can be for musicians and songwriters to wear all hats of the production process. The last thing most artists want to do is go around in circles endlessly tweaking a mix on a computer. Or choose the right drum microphones. Or decide which vocal takes are the best.
Luckily, I’m super into that stuff, and for the past 15 years have been producing and mixing records…records that fall under the umbrella of being made with real-life instruments that exist mostly outside of the computer.
I know it can be tough, after spending so much time on a record, to see the big picture and know when it’s finished, or when it needs more magic sauce. In addition to studio wizardry, I’m also a musician (keyboard, guitar, drums), and am thrilled to add parts, or enlist my talented friends to lend a hand.
Wherever you are in the record-making process, I can help make sure you end up with finished recordings that you’re stoked to release.
If that sounds great to you:
Send me a link to what you’re working on (a demo, a rough mix, etc)
Let me know where you think you could use some help
Let’s have a conversation and form a plan together
This Spotify playlist features songs I’ve worked on as producer, mixer, engineer, or all of the above.
“David creates a positive and safe environment to explore. He is immensely patient and definitely down to record singing bowls in chambers, hours of acoustic whammy guitar, and bounce your owl recordings down to a variety of old tapes until your unique sonic world is complete.”
-Adam Brock
“Many artists, including myself, get overly fixated on the micro, but David sees the macro. He sees the big picture.”
-Tyler Burns
“David has a great personality for one-on-one work, as well as a connectivity that is excellent for bands. He is always organized, excited, and fun to work with…one of the few producers who looks deeply into the artist’s work and helps create an atmosphere where great music can be created.”
-Matthew Heller
“David's incredibly patient, focused, and easy to work with…heavily invested in the creative part of the process, not just the technical.”
-Ari Chersky
